Why did you become a Physio?
I come from a family of medics but never saw myself following in their footsteps until shortly after my first degree, when I landed a job as a physiotherapy assistant. The rest, as they say, is history!
What do you enjoy treating?
I get good results for those with acute episodes of back pain or who wish to avoid episodes in the future. Also, with rehab and return to function after minor injuries, strains and sprains.
What’s your favourite part of the job?
People are great. Really, they are. I love it when someone has worked well with me and has made great strides forward. And I love to hear what they plan to do next, as they jog off into the sunset. Not literally, but you know what I mean!
What’s the most adventurous thing you have ever done?
I did a fair amount of yomping around Central America and Africa in my youth. These days I am a bit more sedate and prefer a walk on the beach. Having said that I did do a zip wire down the side of a volcano last year. Does that count?
What’s your favourite Meal?
Cheese. Just cheese.
